Who are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a hopeful Super Bowl appearance in the 2022 Super Bowl. Since Brady led them to victory last year, we are all wondering what are the odds of a Tampa Bay Buccaneers win again this year.

They have been doing well so far in this season's NFL games, however, they have had a few losses and their position in the Super Bowl is yet to be solidified. We can’t help but wonder if the defending champions will make it to win the biggest footballing event of the year again.

The Buccaneers are a professional American football team who are based in Tampa, Florida. They are a member of the NFC in the South division.

They joined the NFL back in ‘76, as an expansion team. They have won two Super Bowl titles, one of which was secured last year when Brady joined the Bucs. Along with the Ravens, they are one of the few two NFL franchises to remain undefeated in multiple Super Bowl appearances. They were regarded as being a perennial losing franchise for the most part of two decades due to them suffering 26 consecutive losses in their first two seasons, as well as 14 consecutive losing seasons from ‘83 until ‘96.

However, in spite of their early struggles, they are the first post-merger expansion team to clinch a division title, win a playoff game, and host a conference championship, things they had accomplished by only their 4th season in ‘79.

They improved their image by the time of their first championship in ‘02.

The Bucs colors are Buccaneer red, pewter, orange, and black. They had Tampa Stadium as their home field from 1976 until 1997, but since 1998 the Raymond James Stadium has been their home field.

Championships
The Bucs have had plenty of championships in spite of their slow start in the NFL. They have two Super Bowl Championships, including Super Bowl XXXVII (2002) and Super Bowl LV (2020). They also have two Conference Championships again in 2002 and 2020.

They have six division championships. Three while they were a member of the NFC Central division, and three since they have been a member of the NFC South division. While in the Central division, they had championships in 2979, 2981, and 1999. Since they’ve been in the South division they have had championships in 2002, 2005, and 2007.

Playoff Appearances
The Buccaneers have had 11 playoff appearances since they joined the NFL. While they have only had two Super Bowl appearances, they’ve appeared in plenty of playoffs, and we are sure their glory will shine through from their playoff appearances into the Super Bowl soon enough.

Their playoff appearances were in 1979, 1981, 1982, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2007, and 2020.

History
The Buccaneers became the NFL’s 27th team in 1976. They were the perfect destination for a new franchise, and they became a staple in the community very quickly after formation. The team's name was actually chosen as part of a fan naming contest, out of 400 submissions, the committee settled on ‘Buccaneers’ because Florida’s western coast was often raided.

While they have been slowly making their way into becoming a well-known and successful team, they did lose their first 26 games, which is still the longest losing streak in the NFL. Their first win was against the New Orleans Saints. When McKay (the original coach and owner of the team) stepped down in 1977, the team shocked the football world when they reached the NFC Championship game.

Despite their reputation built by their losses in the past, they have had some amazing players in their franchise, including; Lee Roy Selmon a defensive tackle, Derrick Brooks a linebacker, and Warren Sapp another defensive tackle. All they needed to really clench their skill was a great Quarterback, which they gained in 2019, although it is yet to be seen how long Brady will stay with the Bucs before he retires.
