Battrick - Online cricket manager game

Description

Battrick is the biggest and best free online cricket management game. You manage a team of cricketers against other human managers from all over the world. You can log in at any time of the day, or night, to check on your club, expand the ground, buy and sell players, set match orders for upcoming matches and much, much more. Each team is involved in a limited over (50 overs) league, a First Class (3 day) league and there is a limited overs cup tournament to compete for, too. All that and a 20 over competition thrown in for good measure! You can be sure there will be plenty to keep your interest during the Battrick week!

Battrick players are fictitious and exist only in the game. They have skill levels for Stamina, Batting, Bowling, Concentration, Consistency, Fielding and Wicket Keeping. Each of these is measured with 20 skill levels ranging from "Worthless" to "Elite". "Useless" precedes "Worthless" but isn't used to measure player skills.

The game updates daily, so that some effects of changes to tactics or training occur every 24 hours. Matches are played in real-time with ball-by-ball match commentary provided. The game follows a structured timetable over eighteen real-life weeks, with matches played at times appropriate to each individual country.

At any time, gamers may re-set their team line-up for forthcoming matches, perhaps selecting a
strong batting line-up one week and a balanced batting-bowling team the next. One also sets their bowling order, and assigns individual players to enter matches with a defensive, normal, or aggressive attitude.

Batsmen, bowlers, fielders, wicketkeepers or all-rounders can be bought and sold
on a virtual transfer market.

Gamers can communicate in a forum called "Sledging".

New teams start with an arena of 6500 seats and standing room. This can be expanded at a
price as the game goes on.

Each team starts with a virtual budget of £200,000. This money can be used in a variety of ways to help the team progress, such as hiring staff, signing players, or increasing the capacity of the ground.

A Battrick season lasts for eighteen weeks, with 14 for the OD League, FC league and Cup competitions. After the 7th week, there is a one week break from the leagues, during which the Twenty20 competition takes place.

The off-season is a 3 week quiet time, which gives managers a chance to recover from the previous season and prepare their teams for the next. The international World Cup tournaments are also held during the off-season, alternating between senior and Under-19 teams from one season to the next.

Game is absolutely free, managers buy additional functions pack called Battrick Membership, which does NOT affect performance.

Very good game for a cricket manager. Easy to join and the stats are great and it tells you everything you need to know.

It was eight months bofree the King had perfect notice that the Lindalinians were in rebellion. He then commanded that the island should be wafted over the city. The people were unanimous, and had laid in stores of provisions, and a great river runs through the middle of the town. The King hovered over them several days to deprive them of the sun and the rain. He ordered many packthreads to be let down, yet not a person offered to send up a petition, but instead thereof very bold demands, the redress of all their grievances, great immunities, the choice of their own governor, and other like exorbitances. Upon which his Majesty commanded all the inhabitants of the island to cast great stones from the lower gallery into the town; but the citizens had provided against this mischief by conveying their persons and effects into the four towers, and other strong buildings, and vaults underground.skid steer equipment, bri mar trailers for sale, john deere backhoe parts, lease heavy equipment, aluma mc210, heavy equipment operator employment, heavy equipment transporter system, transporting heavy equipment, caterpillar d3c lgp, construction equipment used, marine corps heavy equipment, heavy equipment washing, sell heavy equipment

Game is fun to play, and player development is addictive and egalitarian. However, the match engine is lacking in depth, and the community admins are heavy-handed and elitist, making it difficult to contribute to.

Good game - it has its faults like many others, but has the most features and is easiest to understand and navigate out of the games I've tried. It may be shrinking (TM less active, more bot teams etc.) but forums are still active and game play is kept running pretty well with very few glitches.

Enjoyed the game, still do. It is run badly though, which is a shame. Development is hard as it has a bespoke framework. Dont expect things to change, you will be stuck with what is available if you can get a team allocated (this is a manual process) and seemingly lacking as per earlier comments.

The admin team are aggressive, unpleasant and best avoided, which removes any community aspect sadly. Could be so much better.

The problem with Battrick is that you can only reach a certain level. I've been building a team for ages but you can only afford to buy 1 quality player every 3 or 4 seasons, so your team ages really quickly and can't replace players. After four years I have stopped playing as I have realised that whatever I do I can't build a team to reach the summit!

its a good online cricket management game. A little difficult to understand but its much better than From the Pavilion. It has test format which FTP doesn't have. It doesn't provide more in-game features like From The Pavilion

I totally agree with green dogs comments above, you try to build a team which takes ages to develop your players, also to build a bigger capacity stadium so you can make some money through fans.To try to improve your team by going into the transfer market, the players are so expensive, you might be able to afford him but then his wages are so high each week you are hitting your head against a brick wall trying to stave off going bankrupt.Unless you are in the top divisions you dont have a chance of improving, its only the teams that first joined the game when it started that have any chance.Admin team are no help at all and do not take any comments on board that you may have.It is a shame, can be such a better game to play.

Massively superannuated players dominate the game. Training rates are depressingly glacial at all ages.
