Expanding Our Baseball Lineup
The baseball management genre on onlinesportmanagers.com continues to grow. Our portal already features established titles such as Broken Bat, ZenGM Baseball, Pennant Wars, Pennant Chase, BaseHit, and Sim Dynasty. Each game caters to a distinct managerial style, ranging from quick browser-based simulations to complex historical sandboxes.
Now, a new contender has stepped up to the plate. First Row Baseball brings a gritty, granular approach to organizational management that will appeal directly to tactical purists and detail-oriented general managers.
From Code Printouts to a Five-Tier Empire
The story behind First Row Baseball spans fifteen years. What began as code printouts stored in a paper binder eventually evolved into a modern franchise simulation built from the ground up. The developer’s goal was simple: create a baseball game where every level of an organization truly matters.
Unlike casual managers that simulate lower leagues as abstract background numbers, First Row Baseball gives you control over a complete 140-man system across five levels. You manage your Major League club along with four minor league affiliates: AAA, Double-A, High-A, and Single-A. Every single affiliate plays scheduled games on the clock, giving every prospect real playing time and trackable development metrics.
Granular Mechanics and Pitch-by-Pitch Data
Public leagues run three times a day through a standard 162-game schedule, meaning a full season completes in approximately two months. Success requires active roster maintenance. General managers must balance fatigue, build draft boards through scouting reports, and mix user-created cards with generated players.
For managers who want deeper statistical insight, the game features "The Reel." This match engine breakdown records exact pitch parameters, including location, pitch type, and velocity. When a hitter connects, the engine tracks exit velocity, launch angle, and spray charts. It is an engine designed for managers who evaluate players using modern tracking metrics rather than simple surface averages.
Join the Beta and Shape Development
First Row Baseball is currently in open beta, and all paywalls are temporarily disabled. Players can test franchise mode, create-a-player careers, and private leagues without restrictions.
The developer is actively looking for baseball-minded testers to stress-test the match engine and report edge cases via Discord. Testers who participate during the beta phase will retain their franchises and created players when the game officially launches, along with receiving 5,000 in-game tokens (a $50 value) as a reward for their feedback.
You can now find First Row Baseball listed in our baseball games section. Create an account, take control of an organization, and test your front-office skills.
