Check out the online boxing manager... the details are really nice. However, you need to invest some time in it to understand the whole game.

Not interested in finances of boxing or buying points to increase foot speed. Just give me a game that lets me guide a group of fighters while the AI controls the rest.

The OBM is a great game and since my retirement, I play it regularly. It's a realistic (but fun) sports simulation... the developers are very helpful too.
