About GoatLab

GoatLab is a free browser game about building an athlete out of real players and then finding out how good he really is. You start with an empty figure and a slot machine. Each spin lands on a real pro from the sport you picked, carrying a rating from the current season. You lock that rating into one body slot, the arm for velocity or the legs for speed, then spin again. Fill every slot and the game totals a weighted overall. Only about four percent of players ever reach a 99.

Then you simulate the career. Season by season the game plays out awards, injuries, contract years, trades, playoff runs and championships, and at the end a Hall of Fame vote decides how the career is remembered. Every career is deterministic: the same build always produces the same career, so the leaderboard is a fair fight.

There is a builder for each sport: pitcher and batter for baseball, basketball, NFL football, college football, soccer striker and keeper, hockey, UFC, wrestling, golf, Formula 1 and tennis. Beyond the builder there is a daily challenge with the same cards for everyone worldwide and one attempt a day, a live 1v1 mode where two players spin against each other, GOAT Squad, a roguelike gauntlet where you stop the reels to lock a whole lineup and run city to city through legendary teams, and Franchise mode, where your creations sign with a club and play out seasons with trades and drafts.
