Operating entirely within a web browser, the game challenges you to build a competitive squad from scratch, manage team economics, handle rigorous training schedules, and outsmart real-world human opponents across an intricate calendar of international tours and classic races.

Core Gameplay & Features

Team & Staff Management: You take full control of your cycling roster, balancing rider contracts (which can last up to 75 weeks), weekly wages, and specific multi-skill training regimes. To ensure your riders progress, you must also hire (and fire) specialized trainers and scouts to find up-and-coming talent.

Season Structure & League Pyramid:The game runs on structured competitive seasons lasting 16 weeks. Teams compete within a multi-divisional league system (stretching down from Division 1). Strong performances over the course of the season lead to promotions, while underperforming teams face relegation.

Races & Tactical Depth: The calendar features daily races running Tuesday through Sunday (with Mondays reserved as rest days). For each event, managers select a lineup of five cyclists and assign strict tactical team roles—such as designated team leaders, sprinters, attackers, or domestiques/helpers. Points and prestige are fought for across multiple classifications, including General Classification (GC), sprint points, mountain points, and best young rider.

Economy & Transfers: Success requires strict financial balancing. Managers must manage sponsor expectations, operational budgets, and rider salaries. An active transfer market allows teams to buy and sell cyclists to fill gaps in their roster or cash in on aging talent.

Community & Fair Play: Peloton is widely praised within sports simulation circles for its balanced, non-pay-to-win economy. Premium features exist primarily to support server costs rather than offer unfair gameplay advantages.
