About It`s a Goal

Itsagoal is an in-depth, long-running persistent browser-based football management simulation. Originally launched in 2001 and modernized through subsequent relaunches, the game tasks you with taking complete control of a football club from the ground up to guide it through domestic leagues, international cups, and global tournaments.

As a manager, you are given a squad to command and absolute authority over every operational and tactical tier of the organization:

Tactics and Matchday: Construct detailed starting line-ups, establish strategic formations, choose specific player roles (such as preferred foot matching), and pre-program conditional substitutions. Matches unfold via a minute-by-minute text commentary engine across a multi-tier structure of 20-team divisions.

Club and Infrastructure: Manage club finances, ticket prices, and expand stadium seating capacities to scale up gate revenues. Hire and oversee specialized backroom staff, including assistant managers, scouts, physios, and youth coaches.

Transfer Market and Contracts: Engage in closed auctions on the active player market. Contract negotiations require you to carefully balance daily wages, appearance bonuses, seasonal salary bumps, release clauses, and long-term insurance policies against injuries.

Training and Youth Development: Design specific daily routines and weekly schedules focusing on attributes like shooting, sprinting, technique, or weight training. Balance training intensity with rest days to avoid fatigue while utilizing global scouting networks to harvest high-potential talent through your club's youth academy.
